Biography

Nicky Ellet-Petersen has fifteen years of teaching experience at community colleges, universities, and a high school, but the community and technical college world is where she feels most at home. Her passion is improving teaching and learning while supporting faculty growth.  She has also worked in Student Support Services and Academic Support roles in higher education settings.

Nicky has three amazing teenagers, a rescue dog, and a pretty great husband named Jeff. When’s she’s not working, you might find her in her garden or kitchen or on the North Country Trail. Though she’s lived in Ashland for eleven years, she still considers herself a Yooper.
