The college and community input for the Northwood Tech 2021-2023 strategic planning is well underway. In early 2020, Northwood Tech hired Clarus Corporation to conduct a large market research project. Clarus reached out to residents, both within Northwood Tech's district and nearby; alumni; community influencers; current students and employees to gather input that will be fed into the upcoming strategic plan. The 2021-2023 Strategic Plan timeline is linked below. The plan was effective July 1, 2021.

The college and community input for the WITC 2018-2021 strategic planning started Fall 2017. Town Hall Meetings were held in February and March 2018 to gather staff, student and community input. The 2018-2021 Strategic Plan Goal, Key Strengths, and Strategic Themes is linked below.

Former President Bob Meyer held forums to gather input from community members, business and industry leaders, students, and employees at each location, as well as online and paper surveys. From the feedback, College leadership then determined strategic metrics and themes. The College's Quality Improvement Steering Committee developed goals, and the WITC Board of Trustees approved the final 2015-2018 goals, objectives, and metrics on March 17, 2014. College and divisional leadership have collaborated in developing detailed action items and steps.
