The Health Education Center is the central hub for Simulation Based Education (SBE) and training by all Northwood Technical College Campuses to resemble a real-world healthcare environment. The facility is utilized by the Nursing, Nursing Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Medical Assistant Programs. Individuals or groups who are not directly involved in the SBE activities are welcome to tour the facility for educational, training, or informational purposes.

- Tour Details
- Tours are generally offered on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and take approximately 60-90 minutes.
- Room Number Document
- Tour participants will check in at the lower entrance and verify identity. Once the tour begins, all participants will stay with the tour guide.
- Tours are for educational and informational purposes. Equipment in the facility is specifically procured for use during simulation based experiences and often includes delicate, high cost equipment. It is expected that no tour participant will touch or interact with any equipment unless explicitly invited to do so.
- The tour route is walking or wheelchair accessible
- Tour request approval will be contingent upon availability and compatibility with ongoing activities.
- Tour participant will be asked to complete a short survey after the tour, accessed by QR code.
- Photo use guidance
- Facility tour photos are a valuable asset that can help highlight operations, showcase technologies used, and promote awareness of college opportunities. To ensure these images are used appropriately and effectively, the following guidance should be followed:
- Photos should be used in a manner that respects the mission and vision of Northwood Technical College.
- Photos should not be altered in a way that misrepresents the facility or operations, especially in ways that could mislead viewers.

- If a confirmed tour date cannot be kept, please contact HealthEducationCenter@NorthwoodTech.edu with as much notice as possible, not less than 48 hours.
- Reschedule may be available with advanced notice.
