Business Management
Growth and Empowerment.
I am attending the technical college through a retraining program. I am a displaced employee after a workplace injury that resulted in a partial disability. Northwood is the most convenient for my family and me. I knew that returning to school, I wanted it to be in a smaller, friendlier environment. I chose my program mainly because I wanted to be a better leader than I was led by. I want to be a part of helping personal growth and helping someone reach their greatest potential.
Balancing Family and Leadership.
I used to enjoy many outdoor activities with my children. I am learning my new hobbies as I learn more about my disability. Currently, I hold an officer position on the Student Senate as Secretary. I am an active member of CAB. I attended a leadership retreat in WI Dells this semester and look forward to the next one in January.
Independence and Education.
I attended Cumberland High School until the 10th grade, when I left school to become independent and start living my life. I supported myself for many years. I found a job that I truly loved, and it required me to have my H.S. diploma. I received my HSED when I was 30 years old. I remained with that employer until April of 2023. I am now enrolled in my first semester of college.
Future Goals.
I aim to attain my degree and look for a rewarding career using what I have learned. I may have found my home in Northwood Tech. I want to be a part of people’s growth. I cannot wait to see what my future holds for me.
