Biography
I hold a master’s degree in education – Professional Development from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, a bachelor’s degree in Speech from St. Olaf College, and a Certificate in Online Journalism from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. I also have several earned credits in the Educational Leadership doctoral program at the University of the Cumberlands. Since joining the college in 2016 as Career Prep Director, my role has expanded to oversee all Manufacturing and Apprenticeship programs and select Transportation programs, as well as the Hospitality Foundations program.
I have over 8 years of experience in Secondary Education, specializing in Speech-Communications, Journalism, Work-Based Education, and Gifted/Talented programs. With an additional 12+ years of private sector leadership in Sales, Marketing, and Human Resources Management, I strive to bridge industry and education to foster career readiness and success for all students. In my free time, I most enjoy spending time with my husband and our grown children traveling, enjoying live music, exploring nature, playing board games, and sharing great food together.
