Biography
As the Associate Dean of Skilled Trades, I bring over two decades of experience in education, including 24 years in the classroom and time as a principal. I hold a bachelor's degree in Technology Education from the University of Wisconsin–Stout and a master's in Educational Leadership from Silver Lake College. I am also licensed in the state of Wisconsin as both a Principal and Director of Special Education.
At the college, I focus on supporting faculty in the practice of teaching and learning. I also lead the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) process, helping students earn credit for existing knowledge through challenge exams, skill tests, and experiential portfolios. My work is driven by a passion for recognizing and validating real-world learning and ensuring students are prepared for successful careers in the skilled trades.
Outside of my professional role, I enjoy spending time outdoors and being with family and friends.
