Biography
Serene Abrahams had the good fortune of working for veterinarians who invested their time in teaching their technicians to be a knowledgeable and valuable member of the patient care team. Her education and clinical experience allowed Serene to practice in specialty areas of veterinary medicine, gaining more in-depth knowledge of the veterinary medicine. She is thrilled to be able to impart this knowledge onto her students. Between providing base knowledge and critical thinking skills, Serene believes that students will feel confident in attempting the hands-on part of the career. Repetition supplemented with support from the instructor will allow students to build on those skills resulting in a confident entry-level technician.
In her spare time, Serene teaches people how to train their dogs in agility and obedience. She also trains and competes with her own horse in dressage. Serene is also an avid reader and gardener.
