You’ll also expand your understanding of Emotional Intelligence, sharpening your ability to read a room, respond with empathy, and build trust across diverse teams. This session will advance your leadership skills and learn how to effectively lead through others. In this course, participants will explore strategies for transitioning from managing individual contributors to leading entire teams or departments. Emphasis is placed on developing coaching and mentoring skills, fostering collaboration, and creating a culture of accountability and trust. Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, learners will strengthen their ability to delegate effectively, build high-performing teams, and navigate conflict and difficult conversations with confidence.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience in the hospitality industry, Amy brings real world insight to the classroom. Amy holds a Master of Arts in Leadership and an MBA with a Leadership concentration from Augsburg University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality & Tourism from UW–Stout. Amy’s background also includes serving as a project director for Gradient Financial Group. Amy is now focused on teaching leadership and development and dedicated to helping people connect theory with practice and build skills for successful careers. Outside of work, Amy enjoys traveling, watching sports, and spending time with family and rescue dog, Winnie.
