This course will prepare the student to assist in locating and marking all utilities prior to digging/excavation per 29 CFR 1926.651(b) (2) of electric, telephone, cable, gas, water, and wastewater utility systems. Students will learn to use blueprints/construction drawings to support and utilize best practices of job site management activities. This course provides basic information that employees should know before moving, handling, or storing job site materials. Students will be introduced to potential hazards for job sites and moving job site materials; both manually and mechanically.
