With spring comes the thaw and the time of year when animals begin to stir from their winter slumber. Northwood Technical College’s Board, staff, and students recently received the exciting news that ‘Blaze the Bear’ had come out of hibernation to begin its new adventure as the mascot for Northwood Tech (formerly known as WITC).
Students from across Northwest Wisconsin are the first in the College’s history to earn a Northwood Tech digital badge.
In today’s standards of higher education, accreditation is a major factor when considering which institution and program to apply to. For Northwood Technical College’s Medical Assistant program, those standards have been met for 47 years according to the Medical Assisting Education Review Board (MAERB), which was formed 53 years ago and began accrediting programs in 1969. That makes the College’s Medical Assistant program accreditation almost as old as the MAERB itself.
Northwood Technical College Farm Operation Instructor Julie Wadzinski placed 3rd in the Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) Discussion Meet at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBF) 103rd Convention that was held in Atlanta, Georgia from Jan. 8-10.
